Flowers in South Kensington

Today, I am going to tell you a bit more about a designer I really like: Karuna Balloo. Last year, I randomly discovered her creations on Make my Lemonade blog and fell in love with her hair accessories. Karuna Balloo defines herself as a textile horticultrice and is using the art of kanzashi (fabric origami) to create delicate flowers head pieces (that can be used as brooches as well :)). Feel free to check her website to discover more about her universe. I am wearing the Sakura Sakura hair clip, which I bought for my wedding last June on the pictures. I just love the delicacy of this sakura flower! As a little anecdote, each of Karuna Balloo creations is named after a song she likes and I think mine comes from the Japanese folk song Sakura Sakura 🙂 To match my hair accessory, I chose a dress with a flowery, Asia-inspired print which I had bought years ago in Promod. I added a touch of brightness with my coral Sabrina Paris bag and Camper Mary Janes. These pictures were taken last month when we had the Indian summer in London 🙂 We have a much different weather these days with wind and rain… Winter is coming…
