Suzu in London

suzu london

I know it was quite a while ago (I had left the pictures in my archive) but last year Mister and I went to Suzu in Hammersmith area for our Valentine’s day dinner (how cheesy ;)).

I had heard about Makiko, the owner of Suzu and author of the books Sushi Slim and Shoku-Iku, thanks to a post from Lisa and that had caught my attention. This is how we ended up travelling across town on a cold February evening 🙂 We had chosen to celebrate with a glass of plum wine (my favorite!) and accompanied that with gyozas and a mix of sashimi with different fishes and seafood from salmon to octopus. We had also ordered the red peppers and octopus skewers (yes, octopus is ones of my guilty pleasures ;)). All the dishes were delicious! All the ingredients were of very good quality and the sashimis were melting in the mouth… I also really liked the decoration with the superheroes and Godzilla figurines and the movie posters in Japanese hung on the walls. However, as we went there a while ago, this may have changed 🙂 The only blot of the evening was that we had a really scatterbrain waitress (or a complete beginner?) who forgot repeatedly to bring us some of our dishes and drinks. But that will not prevent me from going to Suzu again and to recommend you to try it! Follow me on Facebook and Instagram to discover more about my little world!
